Veterans

The ones who need the most respect.
The ones we love and honor and trust.
The ones who served the country.
Our faithful veterans.
Our love is thrown at them, and that is how it should be.
They have gone through tough times that we could never imagine.
And it was all for us.
The battle hurt many…families and men….
We cry and cry and cry thinking, how could this be?
For they were only protecting us.
Our freedom is because of them.
They gave their lives, bodies and hearts.
And what we can return is simple thanks and a gentle hug and smile
So every night I pray,
Thank you god, for blessing us
With men who fought,
Devoted their lives,
Gave their hearts
All for us.
We couldn’t live without them,
For our wonderful and free lives are all because of them.
Bless them and their families, for I and many people have changed lives because of what they did.
